How do you secure personal information and maintain privacy?
Rent a Ride value customers’ privacy and keep all of your personal information safe and confidential. Rent a ride doesn’t release, trade or sell customers’ personal information details to any person or organization (other than to Police Agencies when directed by Law).
How do you secure Credit card?
It’s important to us that you have confidence in the integrity of our service. Our online car reservation system uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption where your payment details are collected. This protects the confidentiality of your credit card information while it’s transmitted over the internet.
Deposit for car rental
On collection of the car, a refundable security deposit of $300 is charged to your card and reimbursed on the safe return of the car.
If you have Debit Card (Not actual Credit card), we may ask you employment details to ensure you can cover the Accident Damage Excess (ADE).
We accept Visa and MasterCard only.
Do you accept debit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa or Master debit cards that have been issued by a bank. However, we may ask you employment details to ensure you can cover the Accident Damage Excess (ADE).
Can I get a car at the Sydney Domestic and International Airport?
Yes, definitely. When your booking has been confirmed, we will send you instructions on where you can pick up your vehicle. A customer service representative from Rent-a-Ride will arrive at the meeting place, then drive you to our branch office (no more than 5 minutes away from Sydney Domestic Airport and 10 minutes away from Sydney International). As soon as the paperwork has been completed, you will be able to pick up your vehicle and start driving.
How long does it take to pick up a car from the airport?
Our process is faster than other rental agencies located near Sydney Airport, guaranteed to last no more than 15 minutes, as opposed to the 20 minutes you might wait in line just for service.
What is the process for returning a rental vehicle?
After the end of your trip across Australia, you can leave the car with any Rent-a-Ride branch office. We guarantee that your vehicle won’t have any wasted fuel or come with a fuel surcharge upon its return.
Why are your rates so cheap?
We don’t charge so many fees like other rental car companies, such as a registration recovery fee, a location fee, administrative fees and so on. We have easy-to-read and fair rates for all our customers, with no hidden charges. In addition, Rent-a-Ride operates from the suburbs outside Sydney Airport, so we don’t pay any airport taxes or other outrageous costs. Finally, we do not rely on large advertising campaigns to attract new customers, getting most of our business through referrals and repeat customers.
Do you have extra fees when booking?
We guarantee no hidden fees. Everything you need to know is on our website. Our charges are clear and simple. The price that you see on our booking page is what you pay.
What is insurance excess reduction?
The insurance excess reduction is what you pay if you are at fault in an accident with one of our vehicles. In some cases, we can guarantee zero insurance excess for our customers. Please contact our customer service team for more details.
Do you provide baby seats?
Yes, baby seats and booster seats come as an option. All you have to do is mark the box in your Extra Options section of your application and they’ll be added to your rental.
Do you heave E-Tag and how does this work?
Yes, we will open EMU pass for you that allows you to pay your way through any of the motorway toll stations across Australia.
Can we drop off and pick up our rental after hours?
